A robust hydraulic forearm walker for clinical and private rehabilitation. It provides stable upper body support for patients in recovery or those with balance and strength limitations.

Shower-safe and equipped with hydraulic height adjustment, the Taurus H lets carers and users set the correct support height quickly. Its slim profile (66 cm wide) and 12.5 cm wheels allow use in standard rooms and enable the walker to reach under hospital beds — while the wheels handle carpet edges and door thresholds without difficulty.

Key features:

  • Hydraulic height adjustment — simple one-hand operation via handles in front of armrests
  • Adjustable arm pad spacing for different user builds
  • Shower-safe construction
  • Driving and parking brake operated from handles
  • Swivel lock (rear wheel directional block) — foot-activated for straight-line control
  • Handles adjustable forward and sideways for individual fit
  • 12.5 cm wheels navigate carpet edges and thresholds; compact enough to reach under beds
  • Supports up to 150 kg, user height 140–210 cm

Frequently asked questions

Didn't find an answer? Contact our support team and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Is the Taurus suitable for private home use?

Yes. While the Taurus is widely used in clinical settings, it is also designed for private use at home. It offers stable, confidence-building support for individuals who need forearm-level walking assistance to move safely and independently in their daily lives. For home use, the Taurus H is generally the most practical choice, as it requires no charging and is suitable for use in the shower.

Is there clinical evidence that the Taurus improves patient outcomes?

Yes. Based on a 12-week clinical audit conducted by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) in 2024, focusing on elective hip and knee surgeries within an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programme:

89.5% of patients mobilised on the day of surgery
97% of patients reached the toilet unaided
Average reduction in hospital stay of 0.52 days

In addition, 100% of clinical staff involved in the audit preferred the Taurus over other walking aids. A full clinical report is available via the TOPRO website.
