Description
The TOPRO Taurus E
An ergonomic forearm walker with electric height adjustment, designed for hospitals, care homes, and home rehabilitation. It supports safe patient mobilisation while reducing the physical workload on nursing staff and physiotherapists.
Electric height adjustment allows carers to set the correct support height quickly without physical strain — particularly valuable when working with heavier or less mobile patients. The Taurus E also assists patients in rising to standing from a seated position (note: it is not a patient hoist).
Documented clinical value:
A BOA Clinical Audit (2024) found an average reduction in length of hospital stay equivalent to NOK 12,404 per patient when the Taurus E was used in early mobilisation protocols. Based on an average bed-day cost of NOK 23,835 (Norwegian Directorate of Health, 2023), the Taurus E pays for itself after approximately 11 patients.
